Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MGS Hosting collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use Bloxbook at bloxbook.mgshosting.com. MGS Hosting is the data controller for the processing described here. It also explains our use of automated content moderation and your related rights.
1. Information we collect
Account data: your email address, username, display name, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Profile and content data: your bio, avatar, banner, links, location, and the posts, comments, likes, follows, saved posts, direct messages, job listings, and advertisements you create, including any images or videos you upload.
Business data: if you use Business features, the team members you verify, your advertising campaigns and their performance (impressions, clicks, spend), and remaining advertising credit.
Billing data: when you subscribe, our payment processor Paddle handles your card details. We receive a customer and subscription identifier, plan, status, and renewal date — not your full payment card number.
Safety and moderation data: reports you submit or that concern your content, the results of automated and human moderation (including content classifications and any account measures), and your account standing.
Technical data: basic logs and cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure.
2. How we use your data
To provide and operate Bloxbook, including your feed, profile, messaging, notifications, job listings, and advertising.
To process subscriptions, apply and revoke verification badges, and manage team verification and ad credit.
To keep the platform safe — detecting, reviewing, and acting on harmful or illegal content and abuse, including through automated moderation (see below).
To comply with legal obligations and to communicate important account or service updates.
3. Automated content moderation and AI
To protect our community — which includes minors — we use automated systems to review content. When you submit a post or comment, and when content is reported, the text may be sent to our AI provider xAI (the “Grok” model) to classify whether it is safe, mature/18+, harmful, or illegal.
Based on that classification, automated actions may be taken without prior human review, including labelling content as 18+, hiding or removing content, blocking content from being published, and suspending or permanently banning the responsible account (for example, where content appears to be illegal).
Legal basis: we carry out this processing to perform our contract with you and for our legitimate interests and legal obligations in keeping the platform safe and lawful. Where this constitutes a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects, we rely on it being necessary for entering into or performing our contract and/or on applicable legal grounds, and we provide safeguards.
Your rights regarding automated decisions: you can request human review of a decision that significantly affects you, express your point of view, and contest the outcome by emailing support@mgshosting.com. We retain records of moderation decisions to handle appeals and prevent abuse.
Data sent to xAI is processed to return a classification. We send the content necessary for that assessment and do not use these systems to build advertising profiles of you.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), for our legitimate interests (security, moderation, and improvement of the service), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required (for example, optional preferences).
5. Sharing your data
We share data with service providers who help us run Bloxbook, including Paddle (payments and merchant of record), xAI (automated content classification), and our hosting and database providers. These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under appropriate agreements.
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bloxbook, our users, or the public — including reporting illegal content to the relevant authorities.
6. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records for legal, accounting, safety, or abuse-prevention purposes (for example, records of serious violations or of banned accounts to prevent evasion).
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and not to be subject to solely automated decisions with significant effects without safeguards. You can exercise most of these in Settings or by contacting us.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and signed HTTP-only session cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and respond promptly to incidents.
9. Children
Bloxbook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Content flagged as 18+ is hidden by default and shown only to users who opt in. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by our service providers such as Paddle and xAI. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email.
